Designing the screens forced the method to be simple. A step that didn’t fit on a screen didn’t need to exist.

v1 to v14 in about 3 days led to Method v2.1: a single 8-step cycle. Out went formal gates, 9 rituals, week counting, finance sign-off and the proposal as a separate step.
